Summer Jubilee Garden Games and Upcycling Drop ins

Our brand new Jubilee Garden is in full bloom and looking amazing! Can you and your family help us add to the garden, or make something to take home with creative upcycling ideas from unwanted items?!

Each Thursday of the summer holidays we'll be donning our messy play clothes and getting creative with junk! Turn tyres into plant pots, create a living wall from old pop bottles and connect with nature in this amazing new space.

Thanks to Karbon Homes the Jubilee Garden Games and Crafts are free of charge. Juice and food will be provided.

Refreshments will available to buy from our tuck shop. All ages welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Booking is not necessary, just drop in anytime from 10am until 3pm.

SEND Note: This year we are also able to offer a Quiet Start from 9am for those families who require a quieter space we'll be limiting it to just 6 children. Booking is free but essential, you can book via our Eventbrite link here. Children are more than welcome to stay for the full session as long as they feel comfortable and a quiet space will be available at all sessions.

Can you help? We are looking for a few volunteers to help set up and staff the Jubilee Garden.

This role would be perfect for someone looking for experience working with children or who enjoys working with families. responsibilities will include engaging with the families, selling items from the tuck shop, keeping the space tidy and potentially set up and pack down. A DBS check will be required but we will arrange that.

The Garden will be open 9am - 3pm each Thursday, but any time you can spare within that would be a huge help. You are welcome to bring your own children with you.

If you think you could give us some time over the summer then please contact Jill on manager@hexhamcommunitycentre.org
