Forget a white Christmas, this year Hexham is going green!

Eco Fair is a Christmas market with a difference, that makes a difference. featuring a selection of local sellers working in a sustainable and creative ways to encourage more environmentally friendly ways to gift this Christmas. Fewer miles, less packaging, sustainable materials and practice.

Get creative and make your own!

This year we are also forefronting upcycling and running Christmas Craft drop ins to create decorations, gifts and wrapping from materials otherwise destined for landfill. Deni Riach returns for 2 willow wreath making workshops at 11am until 1pm and 1pm until 3pm, to make a stunning, natural and sustainable wreath as a great pre-Christmas get together with friends, family or colleagues.

What makes an 'Eco' gift?

Locally made, locally bought

Transport miles are a huge contributor to carbon emissions so by making and selling locally you can reduce global shipping and you need less wasteful packaging

Sustainable materials

Using natural and plant based materials, instead of plastics makes a product more sustainable and easier to recycle

Reuse, Recycle

Products that upcycle or give something a second or third life reduces waste and landfill

Encouraging eco choices

Products that help people reduce their single use plastic, like shampoo bars, beeswax wraps or tote bags

Entry to the Eco Fair stalls and upcycling drop in is free of charge. Wreath making workshops £20 per person, book online or by coming into the Centre.
