Mindful Movement
What's On
Tai Chi Class
Wednesday
6.15pm - 7.15pm
Want to exercise but don't fancy working up a sweat - or aren't able to?
This friendly mixed ability class welcomes beginners of all ages and meets at 6.15pm every Wednesday for one hour.
Originally a form of self-defence, Tai Chi has been refined in a series of slow and graceful, low impact movements which are designed to help both mind and body.
Each session begins with gentle but effective Qi Gong exercises and deep breathing to help improve balance, mobility and leg muscle strength, while reducing stress and increasing relaxation. This is followed by learning the controlled movements and postures of the Tai Chi forms.
No special equipment required, just wear loose clothing and light footwear.
Cost
£5 per session, payable on the day
